Role responsibilities
* Landscaping tasks such as mowing, edging, trimming hedges, and maintaining soft landscaping areas.
* Planting trees, flowers, and shrubs; clearing snow from pedestrian areas; ensuring walkways and car parks are maintained.
* Conduct weekly checks on groundskeeping equipment; perform litter picks; remove fly-tipped items; address issues like dog fouling and sharps.
* Apply herbicides, fungicides, or insecticides when needed; occasionally carry out hard landscaping tasks.
* Participate in estate improvement works, prioritise areas, and assist with compliance checks to keep the estate safe and clean.
* Complete a satisfactory Basic DBS check as part of employment checks.
* Work in surrounding areas in addition to the advertised location.
Essential criteria
* Needle and sharp awareness
* Hold a valid manual driving licence with the ability to tow (preferred)
Preferred
* PA1 and PA6 NPTC Spraying License
More About You
You must have a current manual driving licence (preferred with towing ability). You should be aware of needle and sharp safety, have a good working knowledge of estate management issues, and possess strong communication skills. Experience in similar services and IT literacy to use smartphones/tablets and messaging/file-sharing tools are desirable. Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and complete tasks to quality standards. You will work as part of a team, maintain positive relationships with customers, and respect colleagues and estates.
