Job Opportunity: Trainee Enhanced Clinical Practitioner - UHD Urology Service
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Trainee Enhanced Clinical Practitioner to join our UHD Urology Service.
This is a new post, and we are seeking applicants with a background in Urology to work alongside our clinicians and specialist nursing team to deliver the Prostate Cancer Fast Track Diagnostic pathway.
Working with the team, the successful candidate will develop new pathways, transform services, deliver the fast track prostate service, and drive high-quality care for our patients.
You will start as a Band 6 Trainee, and once the ECP qualification and role-specific competencies are obtained, you will progress to Band 7.
This role requires active UK registration with the relevant professional body.
Base Location: Royal Bournemouth Hospital

Role Responsibilities
* Manage practice with a high level of professional accountability, autonomy, and judgment for complex decision-making related to patient care and the Prostate Cancer Fast Track Diagnostic Pathway.
* Care for patients with complex conditions using advanced clinical assessments, diagnostics, interventions, and equipment.

Service Development
UHD is investing in services across the Trust, many of which are being transformed and developed following a merger and the New Hospital Programme. Some services may move sites temporarily or long-term, with details discussed during interviews.
Note: The service is planned to move from Bournemouth to Poole during 2026/2027. Employees will not be eligible for excess mileage reimbursement for this relocation; travel from home to the new work base will be considered a normal commute.
