Position Overview
Fixed term post for 6 months (until 31/03/2026). This role supports effective clinical care by providing an efficient Health Records service to patients, medical and nursing staff. Responsibilities include administering and processing patient appointments for outpatient clinics, day cases and inpatient admissions, maintaining confidential records, and ensuring accurate data in electronic and paper‑based systems.
Shift Details
Post 1: 30 hours – Saturdays & Sundays, 08:00‑17:30.
Post 2: 18 hours – Monday‑Friday, 16:00‑22:00.
Responsibilities
* Provide efficient administrative, clerical and receptionist services.
* Maintain electronic and paper based patient records, ensuring confidentiality, accuracy and up‑to‑date information.
* Maintain patient demographic and administrative data through continual checking and updating of the patient management system.
Qualifications
* National 4 or Level 1 qualification in 3 subjects, including English or equivalent.
* General administration and office experience/previous clerical experience desirable.
* Computer literate with good keyboard skills.
* Previous reception experience desirable.
* Prior experience of using a Patient Management System desirable; training will be provided.
Employment Details
Location: Smithhills Street / Royal Alexandra Hospital (H1‑GCC wide).
Salary: Pro‑rata for part‑time hours.
