About the Role
A leading global FMCG business is seeking a hands-on Field Service Engineer to join its growing technical team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, repair, and maintenance of high-performance food processing and packaging machinery across a regional customer base. You’ll play a key role in delivering technical excellence and ensuring that equipment performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction are consistently upheld.

Key Responsibilities
* Install, commission, repair and maintain a wide range of market-leading food industry equipment
* Deliver high-quality technical support to customers, both on-site and remotely
* Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
* Read and interpret detailed electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics
* Document service visits accurately and communicate effectively with internal teams and clients
* Provide training and support to customer operators and maintenance teams
* Ensure all work meets health, safety, and compliance standards
* Actively contribute to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction initiatives
* Qualified multi-skilled engineer with 5 years of post-apprenticeship experience
* 2–4 years of field service experience, ideally within the FMCG or food production sectors
* Electro-mechanical background (apprenticeship or equivalent) preferred
* Strong knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and motor control systems
* Experience with PLCs and Ladder Logic is advantageous
* Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation
* Full, valid UK driving licence required
* Strong communication skills and a customer-focused, ‘can-do’ attitude
