Overview
Lauren is a solicitor based within the Employment Law department. She regularly advises businesses and individuals on a range of employment matters, including settlement agreements, breach of contract, redundancy, contracts of employment, employment policies and procedures and employment tribunal claims.
Lauren is empathetic towards clients and takes the time to acknowledge their needs and to support them throughout the matter. Lauren understands that whether you’re an employee or an employer, issues in the workplace can be stressful and have a negative impact on all aspects of a person’s life, so she helps clients deal with matters sympathetically but pragmatically, putting them at ease and working with them to find the best outcome for their situation.
Lauren has dealt with employment matters in a number of industries, with an interest in working with the transport sector. Her work includes drafting employment contracts, Transport Manager contracts, disputes with employees, investigation and disciplinary processes and employment tribunal matters. Lauren enjoys focusing on the specific needs of transport companies, compliance with transport regulations (driving hours, health and safety, rest breaks etc.) and working closely with the Transport Department.
Experience
* Lauren worked as a Legal Assistant at Nottingham Law School’s Legal Advice Centre from 2017-2019
* She subsequently became a paralegal at Geldards LLP from 2019-2020
* Lauren began her training contract with Rothera Bray in April 2021
* Lauren qualified as a solicitor in April 2023
Qualifications
* Lauren graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 2019 with a LLB Law degree with sandwich year
* Lauren completed the LLM Legal Practice Course part-time at Nottingham Trent University between 2019 and 2021
