Job Title: SEN Teacher Location: Warrington Contract: Full-time Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 Start Date: ASAP About the Role Birchwood childrens services are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join our SEN school on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching pupils across Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3 with a range of special educational needs, ensuring they receive a tailored, high-quality education that enables them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Key Responsibilities Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons for KS2 and KS3 pupils with diverse needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. Differentiate learning materials and use a range of strategies to ensure accessibility and progress for all learners. Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and external professionals to provide holistic support. Maintain high expectations of pupil behaviour, achievement, and well being. Develop strong relationships with parents and carers, fostering effective communication and partnerships. Contribute to the wider life of the school and uphold its inclusive ethos. Person Specification Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential. Experience working with pupils with SEN (in mainstream or special settings). Knowledge of strategies and interventions that support SEND learners. A patient, nurturing, and resilient approach. Strong organisational and communication skills.
