We are seeking a passionate and dedicated KS1 Class Teacher to join a friendly and supportive team at a primary school located in North Yorkshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to make a real difference in the lives of their pupils.
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning, fostering a positive classroom environment, and supporting pupils to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching and Learning
* Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in line with the national curriculum.
* Assess, record, and report on pupils' progress and attainment.
* Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports all learners.
Curriculum and Assessment
* Use a range of assessment strategies to inform planning and support pupil progress.
* Track pupil data and contribute to school-wide monitoring and reporting.
Pupil Support and Well-being
* Promote the social, emotional, and academic development of pupils.
* Identify and support pupils with additional needs, liaising with SENCO and external agencies where appropriate.
* Maintain high expectations for behaviour and attitudes to learning.
Collaboration and Communication
* Work effectively with teaching assistants, support staff, and other colleagues.
* Communicate regularly with parents/carers about pupil progress and well-being.
* Participate in staff meetings, training, and school events.
Classroom and Resource Management
* Organize and maintain a stimulating classroom environment.
* Ensure resources are used effectively and safely.
* Uphold safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.
Professional Development
* Engage in ongoing professional learning and reflective practice.
* Contribute to school improvement initiatives and curriculum development.
* Stay informed about educational research, policy, and best practice.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience teaching in KS1 (ECTs welcome to apply)
* A commitment to inclusive education and pupil well-being
* Strong classroom management and communication skills
* Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents
* Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
