Main duties of the job
We are looking for a dynamic individual with a keen desire to support the education journey of future pharmacists, while maintaining your clinical practice. You will develop and maintain collaborative relationships with the school of pharmacy at the University of East Anglia, supporting the work-based learning and supervision of undergraduate students on placements at the Norfolk & Norwich University hospital. The successful applicant will be working to address the need for pharmacy students to both demonstrate and develop person-centred care and collaboration as well as provide pastoral support to individual learners. You will work under the direction of the lead E&T pharmacist.
You will be required to work both as part of a team and as an autonomous practitioner, taking an active role in the pharmaceutical care of a range of conditions and providing advice to clinicians. Participation in multidisciplinary team ward rounds and prescribing of medications to ensure the seamless transfer of care will be expected. You will work in partnership with both the pharmacy and the wider MDT. This is a 50:50 post, split between clinical rotations and E&T.
This post is for full time employment, however, alternative working patterns will be considered. All staff are required to work 1 in 10 weekends with corresponding time off given during the week. All staff are required to undertake at least one bank holiday duty per year. All rotas are subject to review at any time.

Job responsibilities:
* The post holder will assist the Pharmacy Team Leaders Medicine & Surgery in the performance of the following duties in accordance with Trust policies.
* This is a trained practitioner post and the post holder would be expected to work on their own initiative within guidelines and direction from the Pharmacy Team Leaders, to supervise rotational pharmacists and Foundation Trainee pharmacists and to liaise with other pharmacy staff.
* The purpose of the post is to develop and operate high quality clinical and technical pharmacy services and the post holder will be expected to participate in and support the achievement of this aim.
* To participate in and assist in the provision of clinical pharmacy services to the Trust in liaison with the Clinical Pharmacy Team Leaders as Specialist.
