Are you proactive and take pride in driving best practice? If so, join Thornford Park as our Quality Lead, working to continuously improve the quality of service delivered and ensuring our compliance with CQC Regulations, NHSE Expectations, and other external regulatory bodies.

What you will be doing

As our Quality Lead, you will lead on Quality and Compliance within Thornford Park Hospital, providing clear communication, direction, support, and active involvement in achieving the required standards and quality.

Working 37.5 hours a week, you will support various areas including developing systems, delivering and arranging training, and embedding changes to meet all regulatory, clinical, quality, and corporate requirements.

You will liaise with senior leaders across Thornford Park regarding our regulatory compliance standards, contractual reporting, and our site Quality Improvement Plan. You will also manage a Quality and Compliance Coordinator.

As our Quality Lead, you will be:

* Managing Thornford Park’s compliance with all contractual standards, ensuring timely and quality information submissions and recordings.
* Collaborating with colleagues at all levels, from HCAs and service users to the Senior Management Team.
* Leading impactful audits, working with colleagues to ensure audits are meaningful.
* Following up on actions, completing projects, and ensuring compliance with statutory requests and regulatory bodies.
* Partnering with stakeholders across local health communities to improve clinical quality.
* Ensuring corporate, regional, and local policies and procedures are in place and implemented.
* Developing quality through governance systems and quality improvement plans.
* Driving quality improvement and being a role model.
* Line managing a Quality & Compliance Coordinator.

To be successful, you will need:

* Ability to interpret data and communicate its meaning to clinical colleagues.
* Skills in training, coaching, and developing team members.
* Understanding of audits and audit processes.
* Experience in completing compliance reports for external submission.
* Strong team-working skills.
* High self-motivation and flexibility.
* A positive attitude, caring, and compassionate nature.
* A commitment to high-quality care, values, and evidence-based practice.

Where you will be working:

You will be based at Thornford Park, a 141-bed independent hospital supporting service users requiring medium and low secure Forensic Mental Health Services. The facility also includes a PICU Mental Health Service.

The service offers seamless care pathways, supporting recovery and rehabilitation, with assessments and treatments for males with mental illness or complex needs, and females and males in a PICU setting.
