Automower Technician
Location: Esher
Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, including 1-hour unpaid lunch)
The Role
Reporting to the Service Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the installation, servicing, fault diagnosis, and repair of robotic lawnmowers and associated equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in a technical, hands-on environment.
The role combines both workshop-based and on-site work, including outdoor tasks in varying weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the installation of Automowers, including boundary and guide wires at customer locations
Support machine commissioning, including software setup and testing
Ensure all installations meet manufacturer and company standards
Carry out routine servicing and seasonal maintenance (with supervision where required)
Assist in diagnosing electrical, mechanical, and software-related faults
Replace parts and carry out repairs accurately and efficiently
Deliver a professional and friendly service to customers on-site
Explain basic operation and maintenance procedures to customers
Support aftersales enquiries and assist with troubleshooting
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
Accurately complete job cards, service reports, and warranty documentation
Adhere to all health and safety procedures
Attend internal and manufacturer training to develop product knowledgeSkills & Attributes Essential:
Keen interest in machinery, electronics, or engineering
Willingness to learn and develop technical skills
Professional and approachable manner with customers
Full UK driving licenceDesirable:
Previous experience in groundcare, machinery, electrical, or mechanical repair
Basic IT skills or familiarity with software system
