Job Title: Property Solicitor

Job Location: Brindley Place, Birmingham

Contract type: Permanent

Working hours: Full time - 37 hours

About the role

We are currently seeking a Property Solicitor to join our team, based at our Brindley Place office in Birmingham. This role is offered on a hybrid working basis, with a minimum requirement of one day per week in the office.

This is an excellent opportunity to work in-house for a leading Housing Association in the West Midlands. The successful candidate will support internal business needs while working closely with external solicitors and a range of stakeholders.

The Property Solicitor will play a key role in delivering high-quality legal advice and support in relation to a fixed-term asset disposals project. Reporting directly to the Head of Legal Services, you will advise on a broad range of property matters, ensuring legal risks are effectively managed and project objectives are met.

You will be expected to work collaboratively with stakeholders across the organisation, delivering timely, tailored legal services of the highest standard to support the Group's strategic aims.

Please note that if you are successful in this role, we will require a DBS check to be completed. Further details will be sent following offer.

About you

The successful candidate must be a qualified solicitor with an appropriate level of post-qualification experience (PQE), including experience within an in-house legal environment, preferably within the housing sector.

You will possess up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks, along with a strong understanding of the commercial drivers, legal obligations, and associated risks relevant to GSA's operations.

This role requires sound professional judgment and the ability to identify and escalate legal and commercial risks to the Head of Legal Services as appropriate.

You will be expected to demonstrate the highest levels of integrity, professionalism, and discretion, maintaining strict confidentiality at all times.

Flexibility is essential, as the role may involve travel between GSA offices and occasional work outside of standard business hours to meet organisational needs.
