CNC Miller Role Overview
The work is varied, interesting and demanding and the company expects high standards for quality and performance. Ideally with a time served background you will be expected to manufacture a wide range of steel and aluminium components on their HAAS and Hurco CNC Milling machines.
The CNC Miller will be joining an established manufacturing department, ensuring that quality standards are met on all components, by following company processes, and procedures.
They pride themselves on delivering an excellent quality of finish and it is therefore imperative that you have great attention to detail and work to an exceptionally neat standard.
CNC Miller Hours, Pay and Benefits
£34,000 - £36,000
37 hours per week, 7:00am 3:30pm Monday to Thursday, with a 12pm finish on Fridays
Benefits: 6.5% employer pension contribution, 3 x salary life assurance, 34 days holiday
Commutable From: Nottingham, Derby, Burton upon Trent, Coalville, Loughborough
CNC Miller Essential Candidate Requirements
Programming, setting and operating experience of CNC Milling machinery HAAS preferred, but that isnt essential
Apprentice trained or equivalent background in CNC machining within a production environment
Able to work accurately to deadlines
An ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
An enthusiastic team player with a can-do/flexible attitude
Flexible, positive and proactive attitude with a commitment to quality
CNC Miller Key Responsibilities (but limited to)
Programming, Setting and Operating CNC Milling machines (preferably HAAS, but this isnt essential) to produce precision precision-engineered components
Self-inspection of components using manual measuring equipment
Creation of programmes, jigs & fixtures for new components
Ensure manufactured parts are produced in the most efficient manner
Setting and running multiple machines when the component and/or batch sizes allow
Work with Engineering team to resolve technical queries relating to new and existing components
