The total number of working hours for appointed staff depends on the module and student enrollment.
The School of Popular Music & Voice wishes to appoint Part-Time Lecturers across the BA Voice curriculum to deliver teaching, assessment, and undertake other work related to relevant modules.
We are particularly seeking Vocal Practitioners capable of delivering 1-1 vocal tuition to a high standard, with excellent technical knowledge, performance experience, and artistic insight. Candidates with diverse backgrounds and experience across different genres are encouraged to apply. We also seek staff for group sessions and lectures in voice-related subjects, including choir (applicants with experience from any genre are of potential interest), vocal groups, as well as vocal theory and practice.
The teaching term aligns with the Conservatoire’s Undergraduate Music Academic Calendar. Please note that duties may extend outside of term time.
The start date for teaching is expected to be the week commencing 22nd September 2025, with planning and preparation prior to this week.
What You Will Do
Part-time teaching staff will collaborate closely with the Academic Manager in the School of Popular Music and Voice, the School Administrator, other Module Coordinators, and relevant Part-time Lecturers.
Responsible for planning and delivering one-to-one and/or group lessons with students on the BA Voice (Performance & Pedagogy) course within the Department of Popular Music and Voice.
Delivering additional specialist teaching in voice and voice-related subjects through extracurricular events where relevant.
Assisting and facilitating student performances and events.
