Description Job Title: Civil Parking Enforcement Officer Location: Cornwall Hours: Full-time (37 hours per week on a rota basis including weekends) and Part-time (flexible hours, evenings, and weekends) Salary: Grade 2 (with Plussages for Sunday, Bank Holidays etc) Accelerated pay through the grade recognising progression. If so, we want to hear from you! As a Civil Parking Enforcement Officer, you'll play a vital role in ensuring safe and accessible streets, helping to keep Cornwall moving. Key Responsibilities: Patrol & Enforcement: Carry out routine patrols, enforcing parking regulations and promoting compliance. Customer Engagement: Provide advice and support to the public, helping motorists understand parking policies. Issuing Notices: Investigate and issue Penalty Charge Notices when necessary, ensuring fair enforcement. Health & Safety Compliance: Use safety equipment correctly and support colleagues in incidents. Team Collaboration: Work closely with fellow officers and supervisors to maintain service consistency. Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in initiatives to enhance service quality and efficiency. Additional duties: Development to undertake machine maintenance, abandoned vehicle inspections and Environmental patrols. What We Offer: Permanent positions with 37 hours per week on a rota basis. Full UK drivers licence (or willingness to obtain one) Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Willingness to complete City and Guilds Level 2 on Street Parking Enforcement within the first 6 months. 5 GCSEs at Grade 5 or above (or equivalent experience).
