In Hull, Occupational Therapy is a vital part of Adult Social Care, helping individuals maintain independence and live fully in their own homes. We work closely with multidisciplinary teams across social care and health, including the NHS, to provide exceptional care and support, along with training and career development opportunities.
The role of a Specialist Occupational Therapist includes supporting trauma-informed care approaches, applying rights-based inclusive practices, and contributing to statutory assessments under the Care Act 2014.
You will provide supervision and clinical oversight to other Occupational Therapy staff, manage a complex caseload, and contribute to service development, policy, and process improvements to embed OT within the wider social care framework.
Key skills and areas include:

* Moving and handling skills
* Cognitive assessment
* Trauma-informed care
* Housing needs assessment
* Capacity assessment
You may work with cases involving:
* Neurological conditions

* Learning difficulties and autism
* Carers
