SEN Teacher – Full-Time, Temp-Perm Location: Watford Start Date: January 2026 The Opportunity A highly regarded specialist school in Watford is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher to join their team on a full-time, temp-perm basis from January 2026. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to the diverse needs of pupils with complex SEN, particularly autism and associated needs. Establish structured routines and use visual supports to aid communication and enhance learning. Collaborate closely with Teaching Assistants (TAs), therapists, and families to provide coordinated support. Monitor and report on pupil progress against EHCP outcomes and individual learning targets. Implement evidence-based strategies to support emotional regulation, independence, and self-management skills. Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment where students feel valued and supported. Engage in CPD (Continuing Professional Development) and contribute to the wider school community. About You Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable but not essential. Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, ideally in a specialist or alternative education setting. Strong understanding of autism and related developmental needs. Patient, resilient, and nurturing approach to teaching and supporting pupils. Confident communicator with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
