We have an opportunity for a Head of Contracts to join the team at Cooneen Defence, Fivemiletown on a permanent basis. The successful person will manage the Contract and Account Management Team across Cooneen Defence to ensure our portfolio of contracts is successfully and profitably delivered throughout their lifetime, sales maximised, and contracts retained. Responsibilities Champion values and direct the commercial team to live by the business values. Focus on maximising contribution and minimising risk within your business area and set sales and gross margin targets for both new and existing contracts, and ensure their delivery. Lead the Account Management Team in their Business area and ensuring their accountability for the management and performance of their assigned Account Coordinator(s). Set KPI’s and objectives for each member of the team in line with the company and group values. Monitor performance against these objectives and take action to address variances as appropriate. Challenge and empower the Account Management team to derive maximum commercial value / sales from existing accounts. Oversee account review meetings to ensure that accounts are being serviced to the required level and that proactive, developmental, innovative action plans are in place for each account. Preparation, submission, and control of overhead budget for your allocated business area. Establish excellent relationships with key decision makers in the customer base and encourage and facilitate the Account team to achieve the same with their contacts. Identify growth opportunities by understanding marketplace changes and customers business and understand key factors influencing customers business and their industry. Manage the delivery of all contractual requirements, SLAs and KPIs for existing and new contracts in their allocated business area. Ensure that any customer complaints and issues escalated from the AMs are resolved correctly and any corrective actions required are implemented. Identify opportunities for improving the method of operation in your area of responsibility. Any other duties deemed necessary by management. Observe all Company Rules, Standard Operating Procedures and Company Policies particularly in relation to Health and Safety, Harassment, Disciplinary and ICT Security. Maximize efficiency by supporting Cooneen Lean continuous improvement activities This is not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities. The successful job holder will be expected to perform varying tasks as required by their line manager & the overall objectives of the organisation. Requirements Essential Proven experience in a similar role, for example contract management, business development. Demonstratable experience in an office environment within a manufacturing, construction or retail business Proficient in the use of full Microsoft Office suite Desirable Knowledge or understanding of the defence market Experience in producing Excel work sheet based Reports Experience in manufacturing, in particular defence or military clothing. Experience in Critical Paths, production scheduling, order management Has experience of dealing with customers, both remotely (via phone and email) and in person Qualification, ideally in a business, manufacturing or construction related discipline Educated to A’level or equivalent including English and Mathematics About The Cooneen Group Cooneen Group is one of the largest and most diversified garment manufacturers in Europe.
