Principal EC&I Engineer Contract EC&I Staffordshire Outside IR35 6-month contract £65-67hr Hybrid Must have a British passport for security clearance Principal EC&I Engineers applying for the role cannot hold dual nationality Key aspects of the Principal EC&I Engineer role include Take technical ownership and lead delivery of EC&I hardware solutions including electrical control systems, control panels and associated safety systems for customers operating in highly regulated environments Strong understanding of EC&I design principles including electrical schematics, control panel design, equipment selection and compliance Oversee and mentor EC&I engineers, supporting problem-solving and driving best practice across the team Experience of designing and developingSafety System Electrical Panelsin compliance withIEC 61508functional safety standards. Successful Principal EC&I Engineer will conduct detailed reviews ofAutoCAD Electrical Drawingsto ensure technical correctness and quality. Act as the technical authority on projects, providing leadership, guidance and assurance across EC&I engineering activities Previous experience working in a highly regulated industry such as Defence, Nuclear, Medical, Rail Safety or Aviation You must be a British passport holder and have lived in the UK for at least the last 5 years, as security clearance will be required if not already held The role will involve being office based on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursday and working from home on Mondays and Fridays.
