The Call Centre Clerical Officer provides administrative and clerical support to facilitate patient access to healthcare services. The post holder will undertake appointment booking, data entry and patient communication duties following established procedures while working under supervision as part of a multidisciplinary administrative team.
Responsibilities
* Facilitate patient access to healthcare services through administrative support.
* Book clinical appointments via phone, email and the contact centre.
* Enter data accurately and maintain records in the clinical database.
* Communicate with patients, doctors and allied health professionals to confirm appointments, provide information and answer queries.
* Assist with other clerical tasks as directed by the multidisciplinary team.
Requirements
* Previous experience in an administrative environment, preferably in the NHS.
* Excellent customer care, communication, planning and interpersonal skills.
* Organised, systematic, detail‑oriented approach to tasks.
* Computer literate with ability to use clinical software.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
