About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Data Administrator to join our Oracle Support team within Digital, Data and Technology.
This role is responsible for maintaining the accuracy, integrity and governance of master data within the Oracle system, ensuring compliance with internal controls and external regulatory requirements across Finance, HR and Procurement.
You will also support the development of reporting and analytics frameworks, produce dashboards and reports, and enable effective use of Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and maintain master data accuracy within Oracle, ensuring compliance with control frameworks and regulatory requirements.
Process standing master data updates including staff records, positions, hierarchies, customer accounts and supplier registrations in line with approval workflows.
Design, develop and maintain Oracle Fusion and EPM reports and dashboards using tools such as OTBI and SQL.
Produce regular and ad-hoc reports to support audits, statutory returns, public inspections and FOI requests.
Maintain and enhance the Oracle data management framework to ensure consistency, security and data integrity.
Conduct regular data reviews and cleansing activities, identifying risks and recommending improvements.
Support compliance monitoring for HR and financial controls including Chart of Accounts, hierarchies, journal quality and naming conventions.
Assist with Oracle monthly/quarterly update testing cycles and support system enhancements aligned to the Oracle roadmap.
Promote self-service principles by enabling colleagues to effectively utilise system data.
Manage AR customer accounts, supplier registrations (including bank verification), HR records and organisational structures with high levels of validation and accuracy.
Maintain ERP configuration elements including hierarchies, code segments, cross-validation rules and approval groups.
Ensure GDPR and information governance compliance through appropriate access controls and data handling practices.
Update configuration documents, process maps and solution design documentation when system changes occur.
Support training initiatives and develop guidance materials to improve data quality and reporting practices.
Engage in continuous professional development and maintain strong working relationships across Oracle Support and functional teams.
The role may also require undertaking additional reasonable duties as directed by management.
About You
We are looking for someone with:
Experience & Knowledge
Strong knowledge of ERP systems and module integrations.
Significant experience developing reports using tools such as OTBI, BI and SQL.
Experience conducting change impact assessments and supporting system improvements.
Understanding of council operational and statutory frameworks (desirable).
Experience in data governance and control environments.
Qualifications
No formal qualification required, but substantial ERP and EPM experience is essential.
Oracle certifications in database, cloud infrastructure, analytics or reporting are desirable.
