Children’s Social Worker | East England | £40/h
Social work can be demanding and challenging when you are trying to balance a heavy caseload while trying to offer the best quality service to families and young people. Are you struggling to manage high caseloads and looking for a fresh start? Luckily we are partnered with a local authority based in the East of England who are growing their safeguarding team and looking for stable, reliable social workers who can take advantage of a well-managed team, a balanced caseload, and a supportive place to work. While maintaining a good caseload you will form part of a small team and focus on shorter-term cases with less travel time between visits. The council also encourages working from home and you will have the opportunity to work twice a week from the comfort of your own home.
You can expect to find a stable team where the management has been around for many years and can make decisions effectively and assist with those complex cases. This is a great time to join as the safeguarding team is still only small but well managed with capped caseloads so you can settle in early and build up your caseload slowly giving you time to get to know the team. We have a good relationship with this team and have agency workers still there after many contract extensions. Working with us you can also see your pay rates rise to up to £100 per week as well as an hourly rate of up to £40/h.
