About You

Profile

We generally look for individuals who enjoy both practical and academic work. You may have an aptitude for and/or interest in Engineering and want to begin your engineering journey. You will already have shown a desire to see how things are engineered, whether that be through repairing cars/bikes etc., or a general interest in Engineering.

Desired skills

* Able to listen and learn and apply to any given task
* Multi-tasking and time management
* Accuracy and attention to detail
* A ‘Can Do’ attitude

Personal qualities

You will be hard-working and enthusiastic with a real commitment to your skills training, classroom learning and private study

Desired qualifications

Maths and English A*/9- C/4 GCSE (or equivalent), plus an additional 3 GCSEs including science (all to be at least grade C/4 (or equivalent)).

Future prospects

Successful completion of the Apprenticeship is the first step on a career at TransDev, with machining roles and related department roles a possibility.

Things to consider

Applicants are advised to apply early as we reserve the right to close a vacancy prior to the closing date if a high number of applicants have been received.

NOTE: If your application is successful, you must attend an initial interview with The Bournemouth & Poole College. This will be arranged by an invitation from the College. This is not an interview for the job, just to assess your suitability for the Apprenticeship.
