Job Summary
Here at Alnwick Medical Group, we have a team of approximately 80 staff working across 4 sites, including 12 in our Patient Support Reception Team.
Due to internal progression, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time Patient Support Team Receptionist (up to 28 hours per week). We seek a friendly, flexible, and proactive individual to join us.
The successful candidate will work between 7:45 am and 6:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
Main Duties
1. Greet patients and visitors.
2. Book, amend, and cancel appointments.
3. Record requests for home visits.
4. Process eConsult requests from patients.
5. Ensure equitable distribution of clinicians' workload.
6. Respond to or redirect patients to appropriate care providers.
7. Set up new patients on the system.
8. Advise on charges for private services, process payments, and issue receipts.
9. Maintain reception and waiting areas.
10. Answer and document incoming calls, redirect as needed.
11. Undertake administration tasks as per rota.
12. Carry out start/end of day procedures.
13. Check and respond to emails.
14. Perform other reasonable duties within the role.
