At Multi-Color Corporation (MCC), we take pride in delivering premium quality products to our customers. To support our continued growth and uphold our high standards, we are seeking an InspectionOperative to join our dedicated team.
As an Inspection Operative, your role is crucial in ensuring our products meet the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for the finishing, slitting, rewinding, and packaging of our products. Your key duties will include:
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct thorough visual inspections of labels for any defects.
* Splice rolls together using scissors and tape.
* Set up and operate multiple slitting units.
* Perform precision slitting of jobs as per specifications.
* Efficiently pack jobs upon completion.
* Create core/shipper labels, certificates of compliance, and packing lists.
* Set up and operate the 100% visual inspection unit.
* Splice rolls according to customer specifications using the splicing table.
* Perform preventive maintenance on the rewinder in line with schedules.
* Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
* Collaborate closely with the Inspection Team Leader and Print Trainer, supporting staff assessments and training new team members.
Qualifications & Skills: To thrive in this role, you should possess:
* Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to maintain high levels of accuracy.
* Proficiency with IT systems, including in-house database software.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions.
* A high level of responsibility, reliability, and flexibility, combined with a strong work ethic.
* A strong commitment to quality and safety in the workplace
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week, working Monday – Thursday from 9:00 pm – 6:15 am
