The Role
We deliver creative, dynamic, and person-centred services, providing support to people in supported living and shared accommodation with their own tenancies. Support locations include Ilkeston, Swadlincote, and Long Eaton (based in our Long Eaton Office).
Reporting to the Registered Locality Manager, your responsibilities include:
1. Producing and maintaining accurate rotas for employees and the people we support, considering commissioned care and support hours.
2. Using the rota system to prepare weekly schedules, ensuring efficient resource allocation and support matching based on assessed needs and hours.
3. Monitoring employee leave, such as sickness, annual, maternity, or paternity leave, ensuring support hours are covered with minimal disruption.
4. Communicating rotas in advance, typically issued on the 20th of each month for the remainder of the month and the following month. Any changes should be communicated promptly.
5. Updating personal details on our database, including contact information and staffing locations.
6. Communicating any changes or adjustments to support recipients, staff, and managers promptly.
7. Coordinating employee training, booking courses, and updating systems accordingly.
8. Assisting with recruitment and supporting support worker interviews.
9. Maintaining positive relationships with management and staff.
10. Liaising with HR to process new starters, leavers, and contract changes.
11. Ensuring accurate completion of timesheets, including leave, absences, and extra hours.
12. Scheduling team meetings, supervisions, and appraisals as per policy.
13. Arranging flexible cover for holidays, sickness, and emergencies.
Previous rota management and IT/system experience are desirable, but full training will be provided. An enhanced DBS check is required.
