A large, well-organised secondary school in Worcester is appointing a compassionate and structured Attendance & Welfare Officer for January 2026 to strengthen its pastoral team. The Role You will be responsible for securing high levels of pupil attendance, working closely with Heads of Year, safeguarding leads and external agencies. Key responsibilities include: Monitoring daily attendance and punctuality Conducting first-day absence calls and home visits (with another staff member) Creating attendance action plans with students and families Working with EWO services and reporting to SLT Producing attendance data and supporting termly reports Delivering attendance interventions and pastoral meetings The School This high-performing school has an excellent pastoral reputation, with a purpose-built welfare hub where safeguarding, SEND, mental health and inclusion teams work collaboratively.
