We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking housekeeper to join our team on Ward B3 at Poole Hospital. We are committed to providing a high standard of care to our patients and look forward to welcoming a new member to our team.
Please note: if this job requires you to have a DBS check to enable you to properly fulfil the requirements of the job, on appointment you will be required to repay the cost of obtaining a DBS check and this amount will be reclaimed from your salary.
Base Location: Poole
PLEASE NOTE: Ward B3 is due to move to Royal Bournemouth Hospital in April/May 2026 - please see further details below.

Job Responsibilities
1. Assist in the coordination and provision of services to ensure the ward is a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
2. Provide essential support to patients in fulfilling their dietary and nutritional needs.
3. Ensure medical equipment is decontaminated before returning to the equipment library.
4. Assist nursing staff in managing patients’ property in accordance with hospital policy.

There is a planned move for this service during Spring 2026, when this role and base of work will relocate to Royal Bournemouth Hospital. Upon relocation, excess mileage allowance/reimbursement will not apply, and travel between the post holder’s home and work base will be considered a commute. Any other changes will be handled in line with Trust/National terms and conditions.
This post is part of the Operational Estates service that UHD may transfer to an NHS ‘wholly owned subsidiary’; the proposed transfer date is October 2025.
