We are looking for a part-time Kitchen Assistant (Flexible hours, to be discussed at interview) at Edensor Care Centre, our warm and friendly home by the sea for adults with a range of residential, nursing and dementia-related needs.
Our priority is to ensure residents feel safe, secure and cared for, in a place where their dignity and privacy is respected at all times. Edensor is part of the Diagrama Foundation, a charity which has supported vulnerable children, young people, adults and families around the world for almost 30 years.
We expect you to:
* Support the provision of nutritious, healthy meals that our residents will love
* Support the provision of a first-class service that enables us to give our residents exceptional all-round care and support
* Undertake all duties as required within the kitchen to ensure the area exceeds the standards required for hygiene
* Provide support to the residents as required to ensure they enjoy a positive experience at all times
* Support the wider care team by reporting any significant changes in the health, eating habits or circumstances of the residents
* Comply with all policies and procedures ensuring the safety of yourself, colleagues and residents at all times
Essential:
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A caring and compassionate nature
* Strong customer focus to support the provision of a professional service
Desirable:
* Related qualification in catering or food hygiene
* Willingness to undergo further extensive training to improve knowledge and standards
* Previous experience within a similar environment
* Flexible approach to working patterns
