Technical Sales Engineer – TipTopJob
Join our expanding team in Scotland delivering industrial control and automation products and solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Sell high quality Industrial Automation products such as PLC, Control Gear, Drives, Sensors, HMI, Process Instrumentation and Ex equipment to OEM, End User, System Integrator and Panel Builder customers.
* Field‑based role: visit customer sites; plan and conduct sales visits 1–2 days per week from home or company office.
* Develop and manage an existing portfolio of accounts; identify and secure new business opportunities.
* Achieve defined sales targets and create personal plans to meet objectives.
* Maintain accurate records and provide regular sales reports; use Microsoft Office packages.
* Work Monday‑Friday during normal hours; travel as required across Scotland (central belt M8, Glasgow‑Edinburgh corridor).
Requirements & Qualifications
* Proven business developer and salesman in Industrial Electrical Control & Automation sector.
* Sales and technical experience in Industrial Automation industry with a record of success.
* Formal qualification in Electrical/Electronic discipline (ONC/HND or above) desirable; non‑essential if equivalent knowledge and sales ability can be demonstrated.
* Strong organisational and communication skills; effective team player with autonomy.
* Experience with Microsoft Office packages.
