We are now looking for a strategically-minded, commercially astute General Manager to take full ownership of this new business line. Reports to Co-founder & Chief Product Officer The Role You’ll be responsible for end-to-end ownership of The Charge Scheme: shaping the strategy, driving growth, managing partners, and delivering exceptional value to our clients and their employees. This role is ideal for someone with a background in strategy consulting, commercial transformation, or scaling tech-enabled services, who wants to step into a high-impact general management position. What you'll be doing Strategy & Market Expansion Develop and own the multi-year growth strategy for The Charge Scheme, from market positioning to go-to-market execution. Define value propositions and commercial models that resonate with employers, employees, and integration partners. Identify and pursue strategic partnerships to expand our reach and drive adoption. Business Leadership & Execution Lead the Charge Scheme as an independent business unit with full accountability for P&L. Oversee operational delivery, ensuring customer experience is market-leading and scalable. Guide product development and technology priorities based on market needs and insights. Cross-functional Leadership Coordinate across Sales, Marketing, Operations, Product and Technology to execute the growth roadmap. Foster a high-performance, outcome-driven culture aligned to strategic objectives. Build and lead a lean but impactful team as the business scales. Commercial, Financial & Legal Oversight Shape pricing and revenue models to maximise profitability and uptake. Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers, vendors, and enterprise clients. Ensure legal, compliance, and data security frameworks are robust and scalable. Executive & Client Stakeholder Management Serve as the key point of contact for the executive team, regularly reporting on progress and risks. Represent The Charge Scheme with senior stakeholders at client organisations, building trust and long-term value. What you bring to the role 7 years of experience in strategy consulting, commercial leadership, or scaling high-growth ventures. Exceptional strategic thinking, paired with a strong bias for action and delivery. Proven success in launching or growing B2B or B2B2C services or platforms. Strong commercial acumen and experience managing P&L. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills – with executive presence. Experience working with or managing cross-functional teams, including tech, product and operations. Customer-centric mindset with a passion for sustainability and innovation.
