Overview
To be responsible for the Sterilisation and Decontamination Services for Hampshire Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. In line with National guidelines, accountable for the implementation of all statutory and regulatory requirements, introducing, implementing and managing work standards and practices that are accredited to European Standards across Andover, Basingstoke and Winchester sites.
To provide advice to managers on the compliance of their equipment and decontamination processes relating to current standards. To provide advice, innovative professional leadership and guidance to the Trust on the strategic issues relating to the management of TSSU and Trust wide decontamination including endoscopy. To act as an expert working as a resource for all staff within the Trust, demonstrating in-depth knowledge of decontamination including endoscopy decontamination.
To take the lead in the setting, delivery, monitoring and reporting of quality standards within Sterile Services. To lead the strategic management of decontamination services for Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, in line with National guidelines and be responsible for the implementation of all statutory and regulatory requirements, introducing, implementing and managing work standards and practices that are accredited to European Standards BS.EN ISO 13485:2016 MEDICAL Devices Directive 93/42/EEC.

Responsibilities
* Lead, manage and oversee sterilisation and decontamination services across Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust sites (Andover, Basingstoke and Winchester).
* Ensure compliance with current standards and statutory/regulatory requirements; implement and manage work standards and practices accredited to European Standards.
* Provide expert advice to managers on equipment compliance and decontamination processes.
* Provide strategic leadership and guidance on decontamination management, including endoscopy, and act as a trusted resource for all Trust staff.
* Set, deliver, monitor and report on quality standards within Sterile Services; drive continuous improvement.
* Lead the strategic management of decontamination services in line with national guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
* Experience in sterlisation and decontamination services with knowledge of endoscopy decontamination.
* In-depth knowledge of decontamination practices and regulatory standards (European Standards, ISO 13485:2016, MEDICAL Devices Directive 93/42/EEC).
* Strong leadership, advisory and communication skills; ability to provide professional guidance to the Trust and managers.
* Ability to work across multiple sites and manage strategic undertakings and quality initiatives.
