Branch Manager – Recruitment
Location: Coventry (fully office-based)
Hours: Mon–Fri, early Friday finish
Salary: £32,000–£40,000 DOE + bonuses & uncapped commission (OTE varies with performance)

We’re opening up a Branch Manager seat in Coventry for someone who can lead from the front, bill, and scale a high-energy team across Transport and Industrial. Not an ivory-tower job. This is sleeves-up leadership with the autonomy to run the branch like it’s your business.
What you’ll be doing
* Own the branch: strategy, headcount, GP, margin, pricing, terms, the whole P&L picture.
* Lead and grow a team: help to recruit, coach, set targets, run morning stand-ups, turn potential into billings.
* Drive new business: PSLs, tenders, site visits, cross-sell across Transport/Industrial/Commercial.
* Keep ops tight: fill rates, time-to-hire, forecasting, pipeline health, daily/weekly MI and reporting.
* Stay compliant: RTW, AWR, WTD & drivers’ hours, licence/DVLA checks, references, zero shortcuts.
* Be hands-on: key client ownership, senior vacancies, tricky fills -you’ll still bill.
* Cover Transport reality: oversee the on-call rota and make sure 24/7 clients feel 24/7 supported.
Your world (the sectors you’ll steer)
* Transport: HGV/LGV/Class 1 & 2, 7.5t, van, planners, traffic/transport office, supervisors.
* Industrial: warehouse ops, FLT, pick/pack, team leaders, production and light manufacturing.
About you
* Proven recruitment leader: billing manager or senior ready to take the branch keys.
* Track record across transport (ideal) and/or industrial in a fast-paced, high-volume world.
* BD hunter + relationship keeper: you win accounts, grow them and protect margin.
* Data-driven operator: you live in GP, fill rates, pipeline, and debtor days- and you act on them.
* High bar for pace and service: if you coast, this isn’t for you. Owner’s mindset required.
