The focus of this role is to deliver data science solutions impacting areas such as the effectiveness of advertising and the optimisation of dynamic creatives.
The individual in this role will be asked to:
1. Lead high-impact projects throughout their lifecycle.
2. Scope and stage projects with detailed milestones and delivery schedules.
3. Use SQL and/or Python (Jupyter Notebooks) to prepare data, perform exploratory data analysis, and evaluate different modeling approaches.
4. Engage in problem-solving and fault-finding, addressing data or approach issues as they arise.
5. Investigate data and recommend solutions aligned with client requirements.
And should have experience of:
1. Working as a Data Scientist in a high-value commercial environment.
2. Requirements gathering and idea generation.
3. Defining problems and success criteria.
4. Data wrangling, exploratory data analysis, modeling, and interpreting results.
5. Providing relevant insights.
6. Applying advanced statistical and analytical techniques, including sampling methods, regression, properties of distributions, weighting sample-based data, and proper use of statistical tests in real-world applications.
7. Proficiency with Python libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, scikit-learn, and others related to data and machine learning.
8. Working knowledge of SQL, data structures, and databases (Snowflake is desirable).
