Your role:
To operate recovery plant for antibiotics on 12hr 5 shift pattern rota to deliver the annual committed volumes to budgeted efficiency.
To ensure safe plant operations and quality standards are maintained.
To take ownership of the plant and undertake simple problem solving to resolve issues.
Your responsibilities:
1. Operate manufacturing plant equipment (manual and computer-controlled) in line with cGMP requirements
2. Monitor performance, identify deviations, and take appropriate action
3. Support raw material receipt, sampling, warehousing, and product dispatch
4. Carry out routine sampling and basic analytical activities as required
5. Maintain accurate and compliant documentation (batch records, logs, SAP entries, etc.)
6. Ensure all activities are conducted safely, following EHS procedures and permits to work
7. Participate in environmental monitoring and maintain high housekeeping standards
8. Work collaboratively with the team to resolve issues and improve processes
9. Coach and support other team members where required
What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):
10. Experience with process plant equipment including pumps, valves, isolations, large unit operations, and control systems (HMI)
11. Technical Operations experience
12. Proficient in computer-controlled and manual plant operations following SOPs
13. Understanding of Safe Systems of Work
14. Experience working with and performing LOTO activities, hazard awareness, and reporting
15. Strong problem solving, action planning, and execution skills
16. Ability to work autonomously within bulk processing operations
17. Experience with batch production documentation and performance reporting
18. Understanding of quality systems compliance
19. Commitment to working within a safety-first environment
20. Experience within chemical, bulk pharmaceutical, petrochemical, process manufacturing, or food processing industries
21. Experience working shifts across control room and manual plant operations
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):
22. DeltaV or similar control systems experience
23. Experience within recovery plants or similar process environments
24. Knowledge of water extraction and drying systems
25. Experience working in cGMP / FDA / MHRA regulated environments
26. FLT licence
27. Experience with deviation management and CAPA processes
