Chartered Surveyor - Rural Practice
Location: Carlisle, Cumbria | Full-Time | Competitive Salary + Benefits
A leading rural property firm with a strong presence across the North of England is looking to welcome a Chartered Surveyor to their growing team in Carlisle.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone ready to take the next step in their surveying career - whether you've just completed your APC or you're a few years post-qualification - and are looking to broaden your experience across a wide variety of rural and land-based work.
The Role
You'll be joining a supportive and experienced team, gaining hands-on exposure across:
1. Valuations (ideally as a RICS Registered Valuer or working towards)
2. Estate and farm business management
3. Land and property sales and acquisitions
4. Compensation and wayleave negotiations
5. Rural planning, diversification and development schemes
6. Landlord and tenant matters
7. Residential lettings and rural asset management
This position offers real breadth, ideal for a surveyor who enjoys variety and wants to develop both technical and client-facing skills.
Who We're Looking For
We're keen to speak with:
8. RICS- or CAAV-qualified Surveyors (or those nearing completion)
9. Individuals with a rural background or genuine interest in land and agricultural property
10. Self-starters who enjoy problem-solving and engaging with clients
11. Team players who are ready to learn and grow in a dynamic environment
