Job Description
1. Supporting the HR Business Partner (HRBP) through the provision of generalist, proactive support on a range of employee relations issues
2. Providing an efficient service for employees requiring guidance, help and advice in respect of Company policies and procedures and Employment legislation
3. Creating a positive employee relations approach; supporting, coaching and upskilling Managers to fulfil their people management responsibilities
4. Providing operational support and advice on employee relations matters; such as disciplinary, grievance, appeals.
5. Supporting with redundancy consultation processes and TUPE when necessary.
6. Proactively dealing with absence management; assisting with the identification and resolution of problematic cases and long-term sickness issues, monitoring KPIs and trends to propose preventive measures
7. Managing an allocated employee relations case load
8. Assisting the team to support departments/teams through organisational change and embedding new structures and processes where required
9. Maintain employment legislation knowledge to provide sound guidance and expertise to management.
10. Working with the Management team to drive performance on key people metrics
Qualifications
11. Proven track record in a similar ER/HR role
12. Experience of handling ER cases including disciplinary and grievance, appeals, absence management and redundancy
13. Up to date knowledge of employment legislation including GDPR
14. High level of discretion and confidentiality
15. Resilient, flexible, assertive, and confident in approach
16. Effective communication and interpersonal skills
17. Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
18. Ability to manage and prioritise a busy and varied workload
19. Excellent stakeholder, people and change management skills
