Job Description

We are looking for a dependable and experienced Van Driver to join our team on a full-time basis. Working 5 days a week on day shifts, the successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out timely multi-drop deliveries of fresh produce to customers, ensuring all goods arrive in excellent condition and providing a high level of customer service.


Responsibilities

* Safely operate a company van to deliver fresh produce to various customer locations.
* Complete multi-drop deliveries efficiently and accurately.
* Load and unload goods, ensuring secure and correct handling of fresh produce.
* Follow planned routes and schedules to meet delivery deadlines.
* Carry out pre-use vehicle checks and report any faults or defects.
* Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and logs.
* Provide excellent customer service and represent the company in a professional manner.
* Willingness to assist in other office related duties, covering colleagues’ workload during absences, involving office computer-based work.
* Interest in food / fresh produce would be beneficial with openness to role development in areas of farm sample collecting and testing.


Skills & Experience Required

* A full UK driving licence.
* Previous van driving experience, ideally within the fresh produce or FMCG sector.
* Experience with multi-drop deliveries is highly desirable.
* Good knowledge of local and regional road networks.
* Excellent time management and organisational skills.
* A proactive, reliable, and flexible approach to work.
* Strong communication and customer service skills.

Duties may change from time to time in accordance with the changing needs of the company. You will be expected to carry such duties out as normal. If there is any significant change, this will be discussed and agreed with you and may be included in a revised edition of the Job Description; otherwise, more minor changes may be discussed with you at the time of your performance review. If there are any other changes to employment terms and conditions, such as changes to pay or hours, then these will be notified in writing.

All roles develop and change, and this is a natural process due to technological, legal and business advancement. You are expected to embrace such change and show initiative and flexibility where appropriate.

Job Type: Day Shifts

* Day Shift: 7.30am to 3pm (approx. – subject to work requirements) 35 hrs per week
