SEN Teacher – ARP (Autism Resource Provision)

We are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Barnet to recruit a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher to join their Autism Resource Provision (ARP) on a permanent basis from September.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work with a small group of 8 pupils across Years 3–6, all of whom have Autism, with some pupils also presenting with ADHD and associated challenging behaviours. The school is committed to providing a nurturing, structured, and supportive environment where every child can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver tailored, engaging lessons to meet the individual needs of pupils with Autism
2. Develop and implement EHCP-focused learning strategies and interventions
3. Support pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural development
4. Use effective behaviour management strategies to support pupils with additional needs, including ADHD
5. Work collaboratively with support staff, SENCO, and external professionals
6. Monitor progress and adapt teaching approaches to ensure positive outcomes for all pupils
Requirements:
7. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
8. Proven experience working with pupils with Autism (ASD) in a primary or specialist setting
9. Strong understanding of SEN strategies, including behaviour management and differentiation
10. Experience supporting pupils with ADHD and challenging behaviours is highly desirable
11. A patient, resilient, and proactive approach to teaching and learning
12. Excellent communication and teamwork skills
