The Role
You’ll be a key player in the M&E and NetZero team, supporting the growth of building services engineering offerings. Working closely with the Managing M&E Engineer, you’ll also mentor junior engineers and contribute to the delivery of high‑quality design and surveying services.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead mechanical building services design from concept to detailed specification (heating, cooling, ventilation, public health).
* Produce detailed calculations using tools like Hevacomp and IES.
* Prepare technical specifications, reports, and client presentations.
* Conduct condition surveys, inspections, and oversee commissioning.
* Manage project delivery within agreed timelines and budgets.
* Support junior team members in technical development.
About You
* Proven experience in building services consultancy, particularly in retrofit and refurbishment projects.
* Strong understanding of renewable technologies and decarbonisation strategies.
* Degree‑qualified in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
* Working towards Chartered status (CIBSE, IMechE, or similar).
* Proficient in IES, Hevacomp, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office; Revit experience is a plus.
* Knowledgeable in UK technical standards, energy reduction methods, and performance verification.
