Our client, a well-established Global Services-Led organisation based in North Manchester, are looking to recruit an experienced Purchase Ledger Assistant into their friendly and supportive finance team.
With a strong presence across Europe, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and wants to play a key role in supporting international supplier relationships.
Your new role
This is not just a processing role, you will be a key point of contact for Polish suppliers, giving you real ownership and visibility within the finance function. You'll work closely with both UK and international teams, ensuring the smooth running of the purchase ledger function.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Managing the end-to-end purchase ledger process
2. Processing high volumes of invoices with accuracy and efficiency
3. Handling supplier queries and building strong relationships
4. Communicating confidently with Polish-speaking suppliers (email and phone)
5. Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
6. Supporting payment runs across multiple currencies
7. Assisting with month-end tasks and reporting
What you'll need to succeed
We're keen to speak with candidates who bring both technical expertise and strong communication skills:
8. Fluent Polish (reading and writing) is essential
9. Proven experience in a purchase ledger / accounts payable role
10. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage workload effectively
11. Confident communicator, comfortable dealing with international stakeholders
12. A proactive, team-oriented approach
13. Good working knowledge of finance systems and Excel
