To manage the operations of multiple Programmes, all in accordance with the agreed strategy for the maintaining and developing the programme. This will include allocating and managing all staff resources in accordance with the changing needs of the business. A key part of the role involves maximising associate utilisation in accordance with the master production schedule / business requirements, whilst remaining within budget.
Key responsibilities and duties:
1. To manage the Engine Programmes effectively on a day-to-day basis including the development of the team in order that the department meets the needs of the business;
2. Ensure staff carry out their responsibilities to the required standards and undertake the necessary training to operate flexibly with the correct authorisations;
3. To assist in the development of the manpower and operational budget;
4. To monitor operational and contract performance and take appropriate action to comply with budgetary requirements;
5. To set, communicate, monitor and achieve objectives for direct reports to meet the needs of the business;
6. To ensure that all repair engineering and quality standards are met in accordance with company and OEM requirements;
7. To consider engineering recommendations and requirements, to factor these into plans, and monitor during implementation through to successful conclusion;
8. To lead Lean initiatives ensuring that best practice methods are adopted / utilised where appropriate, to meet the needs of the business;
9. To work effectively with other company departments in a co-operative and collaborative fashion, to meet the needs of the business;
10. Ensure that company health, safety and environmental policies are complied with and housekeeping and company improvement activities are implemented;
11. Provision of any statistical data to senior management as required;
12. To carry out any other reasonable duties within the capability of the jobholder, as requested by the immediate supervisor;
13. Adherence to our Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety Management Systems (SMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and all associated Business Manuals.

Professional Qualifications/Education and Training:
Essential
29. Degree/equivalent qualification or extensive experience in industry;
30. Previous management experience in a similar role.
31. Experience of working to a LEAN methodology.
Desirable
32. Budget and operations experience would be definite assets;
Experience:
33. Have an engineering background and possess relevant certification;
34. Have experience in the same or similar industry;
35. Experience of managing a multi-functional team is a challenging and dynamic environment.
