Do you have a passion for caring for others and the leadership skills to help guide a team?
We are looking for a Deputy Manager to join our welcoming and supportive team
At St David's, we are proud of the warm, homely atmosphere we have created for our residents. We believe in person-centred care, dignity, and respect – and we're looking for someone who shares those values to help us continue to provide the very best for the people who call St David's their home.
About St David's Residential Home
We are a friendly care home in the heart of Rhyl, North Wales, providing high-quality residential care for older people, including specialist support for those living with dementia. We also offer respite care to give families peace of mind and a well-earned break. Our home is known for its safe, welcoming environment where residents are encouraged to live fulfilling lives, surrounded by kindness, laughter, and a strong sense of community. Many of our staff have been with us for years, and we pride ourselves on being a true "home from home."
What the role involves:
* Supporting the Home Manager with the day-to-day running of the home.
* Helping to lead, support and inspire our dedicated care team.
* Ensuring residents always receive safe, compassionate, and person-centred care.
* Being hands-on with care planning, medication, safeguarding and compliance with CIW standards.
* Working closely with residents and their families to make sure they feel heard and valued.
* Taking part in our on-call rota, offering advice and support to staff outside of normal hours when needed.
What we're looking for:
* Previous experience in a senior care role, ideally within a residential or dementia care home.
* NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (minimum) – working towards or holding Level 4/5 in Leadership & Management would be a real bonus.
* A kind, approachable and positive personality – someone our team and residents can rely on.
* Good knowledge of care standards in Wales and a commitment to high-quality, safe care.
* Flexibility and willingness to share responsibility as part of the management team.
What we offer in return:
* A warm, friendly, and supportive working environment.
* Competitive salary starting at £15.00 per hour
* Training and ongoing professional development.
* The chance to make a real difference every day in a homely, family-orientated setting.
If you're ready to take the next step in your care career and would love to join a home where kindness and teamwork are at the heart of everything we do, we'd love to hear from you.
