The Job
We re looking for a new Associate Game Scout to join the team and help with identifying and signing up emerging game titles with outstanding commercial potential. This is a super exciting role for a passionate gamer looking to create a long term career within the industry.
You will spend a lot of your time communicating between internal teams and external game developers via email and other messaging platforms, keeping the lines of communication flowing to developers who have and often have not been successfully chosen for a publishing partnership. It is a really important part of the role to show empathy and support to unsuccessful developers as they will often return with more games in future which could gain a partnership deal.
You will track the progress of hundreds of game partnership pitches on a system shared with other game scouts and alert the publishing team to games considered to have excellent potential.
Reporting to the Senior Discovery Scout you will be given great support and a clear career progression path within the company. The team operate a hybrid working model, typically 2 days per week in the office and 3 from home but this is subject to vary.
Candidate Requirements
* Passionate about games, in particular Indie games on both console and PC e.g. knowledge of PC genre trends, game hooks, changing game publisher trends.
* An energetic approach to work and someone willing to throw themselves into this role and develop their career.
* Natural people person, great communicator and happy to use these skills as part of their daily job.
