Section Engineer
Temporary. Full-time. On-site.
Do you have experience working as a Section Engineer on highways or roadworks projects? Are you looking for your next opportunity within civil engineering? If so, this could be the role for you.
Our client, a well-established civil engineering contractor, is seeking to appoint a Section Engineer to work on a highways infrastructure project. This role offers a challenging scope of works, excellent exposure to major road schemes, and an opportunity to work on an exciting project.
Responsibilities
* Reporting directly to the Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing a designated section of the works, including:
* Managing site engineering teams and subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely and to programme.
* Preparing, reviewing, and implementing RAMS prior to works commencing.
* Ensuring Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) are completed, recorded, and maintained to industry standards.
* Monitoring site activities to ensure compliance with health & safety requirements and company procedures, resolving any issues promptly.
* Maintaining accurate records, including setting out, as-built information, and quality documentation.
* Producing and updating short-term and monthly programmes for your section of works.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a Section Engineer role within civil engineering (highways or roadworks experience is highly desirable).
* Setting Out engineering experience
* A valid CSCS card.
* A full UK driving licence.
