Responsibilities
* Special Constables are part‑time, voluntary police officers who work in some of the most important areas of modern policing.
* Special Constables have the same powers, uniform and equipment as regular officers and work alongside front-line staff to help keep our people, places and communities of Staffordshire safe.
* Working as a Special Constable allows you to make a valuable contribution to your community, provide investigative assistance and be a vital link between the police and our communities.
* Volunteer for 16+ hours of operational policing per month.
Qualifications
* Applicants must hold a full manual driving license.
Training and Attendance
* The training programme will be on alternative weekends over an 18 week period starting on 6 December 2025.
* Attendance will be mandatory; you will need to ensure you are available on the provided dates.
