Sewell Wallis is delighted to be working with a well-known organisation in Rochdale, Greater Manchester, which is looking to recruit a part-time Accounts Assistant into their team (3 days per week) - up to 26k pro-rata.
About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Accounts Assistant who is currently studying or looking to study, ideally CIMA/ACCA, as the business continues to be a leader in their field.
Responsibilities
1. Supporting the weekly production of accounts
2. Producing key details for the weekly pack
3. Reviewing costs and explaining variances to stakeholders across the business in a clear and understandable way
4. Creating weekly and monthly journals
5. Business partnering with Operations to understand their cost drivers
6. Reviewing weekly operations trackers and liaising with Operations to resolve discrepancies
7. Performing balance sheet reconciliations
8. Raising purchase orders and liaising with external suppliers
9. Handling ad hoc queries
Candidate Requirements
1. Ideally studying AAT/CIMA/ACCA
2. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
3. Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel
4. Comfortable working under pressure
