Your leadership will encompass a broad range of services, including Waste Management, Planning and Building, Ranger Services, Environmental Health Services, Aboriginal Environmental Health Unit, Community Safety, Youth Services, Community Development, Events, Aquatic & Recreation, and Library & Heritage Services. In this role, you will be tasked with fostering innovation and managing cultural change across the Community Planning Directorate. Skills And Experiences SELECTION CRITERIA Essential Skills & Experience Management and leadership experience at a senior level for at least 5 years. A proven capacity to deal with complex Planning, Development and Regulatory issues, including the formulation of appropriate action strategies and to provide high level advice on those issues and corporate implications to the Chief Executive Officer and the Council. Demonstrated business acumen with the ability to recognise and develop commercial opportunities to fruition. Well-developed managerial, planning, organisational and communication skills with the capacity to lead and manage the use and allocation of human and financial resources in a results-oriented environment. Ability to think outside the box and the proven ability to contribute effectively to the strategic direction of a diverse organisation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proven track record of engaging with the community and negotiating positive outcomes. Demonstrated advocacy and negotiation skills. Proven capacities to analyse, integrate, articulate and contribute to policy development and the conceptualisation of effective change management initiatives.
