Case Worker - Dudley Youth Justice Service
Dudley Youth Justice Service is on a journey of evolution - a journey towards becoming a therapeutic service. You will be joining a team working towards offering young people an alternative approach to engagement, focussed on attempting to enable young people to desist from offending & anti-social behaviour through therapeutic interventions - including through art, sports and music. We are a service keen to embed a Child First approach to working with all children and believe that championing the positive factors which may already be present in their lives will give us the best chance of achieving this.
We are looking to recruit a Case Worker to work in our multi-agency team. We are looking for a dedicated and dynamic professional with excellent communication skills, to focus on delivering interventions to individual young people as well as to groups. This role will specifically focus on planning and delivering programmes of work to young people, initially carrying out consultations with them to capture their voice in relation to preferred methods of engagement - therefore co-designing interventions.
You would be part of an evolving, supportive and welcoming team, providing therapeutic youth justice services. Dudley YJS is committed to continuous improvement in how we deliver our services to young people and the community. the youth justice system in our Prevention work.
The successful candidate will have experience working with young people at risk of engaging in criminal activity and of effective multi-agency partnership working. They will be flexible, enthusiastic, innovative and committed to working with statutory partners and both local and national organisations to improve outcomes for young people.
