CYP Starting Well Nursery Worker

The Starting Well 0-19 Service is looking to appoint a permanent Starting Well Nursery Nurse for a part‑time position of 22.5 hours per week. Working days are over 3 days by negotiation, and the post holder will be expected to work flexibly within the district and, if required, support colleagues across districts. Access to transport for community contacts in family homes and Starting Well Children's Centres is essential.
Key responsibilities include:
* Delegated work from the Health Visiting Team, group sessions to parents/carers
* Delivery of the National Childhood Measurement Programme and school entry vision and hearing screening
* Providing accurate advice and support to maximise children, families and carers’ health, wellbeing and potential, including Open Advice Clinics and developmental checks
* Managing allocation of parenting support on key topics such as toilet training, bedtime routines and mealtimes
* Commitment to multi‑agency/collaborative and integrated team working
Qualifications
* NNEB or Level 3 BTEC National Diploma in Early Years awarded by Edexcel
* NVQ Level 3 in Early Year and Education (NVQEYE)
* NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education (NVQCE)
* Level 3 qualification in Children's Care, Learning and Development (CCLD)
* Baby massage (optional)

Experience
* Recent experience of working with children/families
Disclosure and Barring Service Check
