The chosen candidate will join a practice that has recently invested heavily in litigation and arbitration, especially in high‑stakes, cross‑border commercial disputes, intellectual property litigation, and related regulatory and investigations work. The firm has over 1,000 lawyers globally and a well‑established London disputes group that handles complex matters in both the English courts and international tribunals. The London litigation group is known for its strong performance in “commercial litigation: premium” work, regularly winning praise in the Legal Directories. Recent strategic hires include a partner with over 20 years’ experience in complex commercial disputes and arbitration across sectors such as technology, financial services, telecommunications, media, energy, and infrastructure. The group has also strengthened its contentious IP offering and expanded its international arbitration practice. We are looking for a candidate with approximately 3 to 5 years post‑qualification experience (candidates with 3 PQE may be considered if their experience is especially strong) who has handled significant litigation work, ideally with some High Court experience. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated ability in drafting pleadings and witness statements, managing disclosure/Litigation discovery, advising on procedural strategy, and engaging with clients and external counsel in commercial disputes. A strong academic record, excellent written and oral advocacy skills, proven ability to manage a heavy workload under pressure, and commercial awareness are essential. Experience in sectors such as technology, media, telecoms, financial services or IP disputes will be a strong advantage, as will cross‑border work.
